I inherited a very mature company that had been doing things the same way for a long time. The most valuable thing that Asa did was ask lots of “obvious” questions. He challenged why we did things the way we did and if there were other ways to be considered. Over the course of the last 2 years we have challenged ourselves to look at things differently which has resulted in changes in personnel and systems in how we do business. We now have more and better measurements in place and a management team that can take our business to a new level. Asa is my sounding board. He’s there to listen, to push back, and to coach me.
